Viruses Can Damage Your Computer And This Is Why You Have To Protect It Today!

Virus infections continue to grow at an alarming rate. With this growth, there is another trend that is also rapidly growing. That trend is the development of anti virus and anti spyware programs. These programs are designed to detect and eliminate any virus or spyware found on your computer. There are many of these that are very good quality and perform very well. But, there are also some virus protection programs that have some very shady actions and should be avoided.

The tactics these suspicious anti virus programs use are varied. The following lists some of the primary characteristics to look for:

The most popular tactic seems to be that they will find spyware that doesn’t really exist. The reason for this is that they offered a free scan and are trying to convince you to buy their software to clean up the spyware.

Another tactic is to install spyware on your computer – the very thing it is supposed to protect you against. Some even go as far as deleting any other anti spyware programs you might be running so that their spyware will not get cleaned.

Some of these will use adware to try to convince you to purchase their product. They will use pop-ups to ‘let you know’ that your computer is infected with virus.

There are also quite a few products that are simply inadequate in offering decent virus protection for your computer. Their database may be out-of-date or their detection schemes are poorly written.

When looking for a program to protect your computer, there are some things to look for to determine if you should even consider using it. The three most important items to look for are contact information for the company that developed the program, a license agreement (be sure to read it carefully), and updates available through their website. While these are important considerations, they do not guarantee a quality anti spyware protection program.

While there are many great performing and high quality anti virus programs on the market, there are also many that are inadequate or even malicious. Below we have added our favorite software Panda Security which is a well known software to protect your computer against both viruses and spyware
